A)
Laying: The
Terracotta and Gres Veneziano is laid in the traditional way,
with joints (8-10 mm), using exclusively glue. We recommend
blending
the
material well and waiting at least 2/3 days before
walking on so as to allow a total adherence to the FLOATING.
NOTE: Waterproofing can never be total, it is therefore necessary
to
protect the paving from paint, solvents, alcohol, etc. after laying.
B)
Washing: Washing
must be done a certain period after laying, when the floor
has already eliminated the "Saltpeter" and has dried. It is
advisable
to clean it with a 10-15 percent solution of caustic soda
(1.5 kg
of
soda and 8-9 liters of warm water), rinsing the floor
some days later with "acid water" (water with 15 percent
"DISTICHAL"
or muriatic
acid). These operations must always
be made using nylon brushes or, better still, with a single brush.
Once these operations have been
done, lightly wash the floor with
pure water removing everything with rags, sponges, sawdust or,
better still, with a liquid suction
collector.
C)
Treating: 1-External
Situations: Lightly spread straw yellow oil using a nylon
brush. Carry out on warm or sunny days.
2-Internal Situations:
*NATURAL COLOR: Lightly spread DW88 liquid wax diluted with
40% water in the usual way.
*COLOR "ANTICO": Spread "black" wax row by row. Pass
over
with a cloth immediately and then lightly polish. Apply a thin coat of
DW88 wax the following day as at natural color.
*COLOR "MODERN CUOIO": Spread "yellow" wax row by
row.
Pass over with a cloth immediately and then lightly polish. After
12/24 hours apply a thin coat of DW88 wax as at natural color.
IMPORTANT: Before going ahead with the treatment be sure that
the flooring is completely dry.
